Guiding graduates toward lasting tourism and hospitality careers

From internships to first jobs, EHT Paul Dubrule builds tourism and hospitality careers for talented youth in Cambodia.

Tourism and hospitality internships

in Cambodia and abroad

At the École d’Hôtellerie et de Tourisme Paul Dubrule, tourism and hospitality internships in Cambodia or abroad are part of every step of a student’s journey, from their first year of study to life after graduation.

Every EHT Paul Dubrule student has to complete a mandatory three-month internship as part of their curriculum, supported by more than 50 local internship partners across hotels, restaurants, and travel agencies. Some placements extend beyond Cambodia’s borders, giving motivated students an early taste of international hospitality standards well before they graduate, and a first sense of what a career abroad could genuinely look like.

Furthermore, after graduation, each year, between 25% and 40% of our students take part in our International Placement Program, extended internships lasting 6 to 12 months with luxury partners and quality international brands. Placements have included independent luxury hotels, renowned luxury brands such as Relais & Châteaux and Leading Hotels of the World, and international groups such as Accor and Rosewood, alongside Michelin-awarded restaurants and distinguished palace hotels, across destinations including Turkey, the United States, and cities throughout France. Each is a fully funded international experience, giving graduates the opportunity to develop new skills, explore a new culture, and expand their professional network along the way.

Together, these placements, close to home and around the world, prepare EHT Paul Dubrule’s students and graduates for lasting, fulfilling careers throughout the hospitality and tourism industry.

The Rosewood Career Builder Program:

a life-changing one-year internship

The Rosewood Career Builder Program gives EHT Paul Dubrule graduates from underprivileged backgrounds and remote provinces the chance to complete a paid, one-year internship at one of Phnom Penh’s most prestigious five-star hotels. Selected trainees rotate through departments such as Food & Beverage, Front & Back Office and Food Production to gain hands-on experience across the hotel’s daily operations. They receive a monthly allowance, accommodation, daily meals, and medical insurance throughout the year, alongside mentorship from senior staff.

Several EHT graduates have used the program as a stepping stone into lasting success. Kroesna, a Guest Relations Trainee in the Concierge Department, became the first trainee at Rosewood Phnom Penh to earn an LQA Star for outstanding service, an honor the hotel’s Managing Director presented to him personally at the Rosewood Gala Dinner. Sochea worked her way up from food runner to waitress, growing more confident with every step. Lin, meanwhile, joined the Rosewood Phnom Penh Career Builder program chasing his dream of becoming a professional bartender, and is steadily turning that dream into reality.

These are the kind of careers, Rosewood and EHT set out to build. It’s proof that the right guidance and opportunity can turn a talented graduate into a confident hospitality professional.
